Using the photographs I took of the students and staff, I wanted to create my own versions of Raphael Mazzucco’s work. I wanted to use different materials such as acrylic paint, ink, and emulation. I also used different tools to get different techniques such as a palette knife, decorating brushes, string and tissue. I tried to experiment in the different mark making and focusing on what they mean and how they relate to my project. I didn’t want to just use the marks on the photographs to be spontaneous.
